SCANS AND AUDITS WITH RECONCILIATION TO YOUR RECORDS

We offer on-site services to scan volume serial numbers and reconcile bar-coded items with customer listings for applications such as:

• Moving tapes or hard drives from one location to another
• Migrating to new technology and need actual inventory list
• Surplus tapes or hard drives being purged from system and an audit trail for legal purposes is required
• Having tapes and/or hard drives destroyed and need to purge old volumes from the system along with a
  Destruction Certificate by volume ID number
• Management needs a full asset inventory to be completed and reconciled with the system’s Tape
  Management System (TMS) records

Basic Audit/Inventory Scan Process for Tapes and Hard Drives

1. Load customer flat file listing of bar-coded items to be scanned
2. Stage items to be scanned and determine handling processes required (box,re-file,etc.)
3. Scan each bar code and tie it to a box, bin,rack, etc.as required
4. Software will automatically identify non-matching items to customer’s input list
5. Reconcile non-matching items with user
6. Provide user with a complete file of all items shown
